It is with great excitement that we share our new partnership with the Ignite Teaching School Alliance. Part of this collaboration will involve an innovative Curriculum Development Project that will build throughout this school year. The project is linked with conservation work at Chester Zoo and will be supported by respected educationalists and authors, Hywel Roberts and Dr Debra Kidd.

From the sessions attended so far, we can see that this will help us in re-designing our already rich curriculum. Teachers are looking more deeply at how to entice our children into investing in their learning; we want them to become emotionally connected to what they study and thus learn at a deeper level.  We want to open up a world of purposeful enquiry that offers dilemma-led learning, including some difficulties for children to negotiate. 

It was great to meet eveyone in the Ignite TSA and we can't wait to develop this project further. #ignitezoo18
