eSafety Workshop
Parents and pupils work together on eSafety issues.
Tonight's eSafety meeting initially engaged both parents and pupils through an interactive 'kahoot' quiz that posed questions to stimulate discussion. It was good to talk about the ways in which our children communicate via apps, games or various types of social media. Throughout the workshop, Mr Gard from Knowlsey CLC stressed how important it is for children to talk to trusted adults if they are worried about what they see or hear online.
As responsible adults, we must set a good example by demonstrating good online behaviour. We must also closely monitor what experiences our children are having whilst online. Would we let them cross the road on their own without teaching them to do it safely? No - and it should be the same for teaching our children how to stay safe online.
