Philharmonic Fun!

Awe & wonder in Year 4

Our Y4 Unicorns had an amazing experience when they visited the Royal Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool. Many of the children had never visited this beautiful building before and were in awe of its size and grandeur.

The concert was entitled 'Our Global Vision' and linked closely to the science and geography curriculum, fitting in especially well with our summer conservation focus. The children were able to enjoy an interactive experience as they delved into ice-caps and oceans and discovered deserts and rainforests. The conductor, Michael Seal and the deviser, Alasdair Malloy aimed to empower our young people through the emotive medium of orchestral music.

It was certainly an enjoyable experience for all of the children, and one that will not be forgotten in a hurry.
