Important Times
To start the day:
Breakfast Club opens from 7:30am to 8:30am
School Gates open from 8:30am to 8:50am.
Nursery door opens from 8:30am to 8:40am each morning and 12:30pm in the afternoon.
Reception door opens from 8:40am to 8:50am.
Y1 to Y6 doors open from 8:30am to 8:50am.
All doors will be locked promptly at 8:50am as at this point, registration will be starting. If you are late arriving, you will need to bring your child through the main entrance doors, where you will be asked to log your child's arrival and reason for lateness.

To end the day:
Nursery doors open for collection at 11:20am for the morning session and 3:20pm for the afternoon session. All children should be collected by 11:30am and 3:30pm respectively.
The main school gates and side field gate will be opened at 3:00pm. Adults should walk around to the child's classroom door. Y4, Y5 and Y6 parents should wait on the back yard for the classes to walk from the classroom doors.
The collection time for Reception to Y2 children is 3:10pm.
The collection time for Y3 to Y6 is 3:15pm.
As always, we will allow older children to walk home alone once we have written consent from their parent/carer.
Children are in school for 6 hours and 25 minutes each day, which totals 32.5 hours over a typical week (including breaks and lunchtimes).
Our school day is carefully structured to make the most of every minute of learning. We ask families to ensure that children arrive on time and ready to learn each morning, as even a few minutes of lateness can mean missing important routines, instructions and learning. Every day and every minute matters. The same applies at the end of the school day: wherever possible, children should remain in school until the official finishing time and should not be collected early unless there is an exceptional or unavoidable reason. Regular early collection can add up to a significant amount of lost learning over time.
Lunchtimes
Children have one hour for their lunchtime. This could be between 11:30am and 1:30pm, depending on their year group. During this time, children have the opportunity to enjoy their lunch, socialise with friends and take part in active and creative play before returning to their afternoon learning. We are developong our play and lunctimes in line witj the OPAL approach, (Outside Play and Learning).
Good attendance and punctuality help children to feel settled, connected and successful at school. Being here, from the beginning to the end of every school day, helps our children make the most of all the learning and experiences we provide and supports our aim to empower today and prepare for tomorrow.
