Y2 welcome the RNLI

'Land ahoy' comes alive!

Year 2 have been studying all things coastal and have welcomed Tony from the RNLI to give a further insight into life on the ocean waves!

Tony told the children all about his role as a member of the RNLI. He spoke the boats, the kit , the uniform and the history of the institution. He also told the story of the brave Grace Darling and how she changed history. The children were able to ask lots of questions and add to their growing knowledge.

Visitors like Tony really do enrich and enhance our teaching and learning experiences. Thank you to Tony and to the brave men and women of the RNLI. @RNLI
