Our EYFS Appeal

We need your support!

Prescot Primary School Early Years Team is bidding to bag a massive cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative.

Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of up to £4,000, up to £2,000 and £1,000 raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores awarded to local community projects.

Three groups in every Tesco region have been shortlisted to receive the cash award and shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant.

We are delighted to be one of the groups on the shortlist.

“Our project is to develop the Early Years Outdoor Provision.  As you know we have a large shared outdoor area and we would love to be able to develop and enhance this area, to bring it more inline with the quality indoor provision. Our outdoor space has so much potential to be amazing and with your help, and the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme, we can make improvements rapidly so that our children have high quality outdoor provision. So many young children access this space on a daily basis and for some of our children this is the only outdoor space that they can call 'theirs.'  Our outdoor area enables our children to have daily time in the great outdoors, so important for health and emotional wellbeing.”

Please help us achieve this, spread the word and help to get everyone you know voting for us!

Voting is open in all Tesco stores throughout January and February. Customers will cast their vote using a token given to them at the check-out in store each time they shop.

Please see below a list of stores taking part in the voting of our project:
